I am Ellis F. Powers Senior, the Dean of Students and fifth grade teacher here at Saint
Eugene Catholic School. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University
of Phoenix, and a Master’s in Education from Loyola Marymount
University. With 30 years of teaching in the LA Archdiocese, the last nine of
which have been here at St. Eugene, my calling from God has devoted me to
providing correction, direction, and guidance to our children. Proud parent of Ellis Junior
and blessed with three grandchildren: Amaree (16), Ellis III (8), and Victoria (4), who I
love with all my heart. I vow to love your children as they are mine. Here’s to a great
