Dorene Nelson, born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. For high school Dorene
she attended St. Mary’s Academy, Blue Tie. She was able to embrace her love for
dance and the arts in many school productions. After graduating she performed
with LA Clippers, LA Lakers, and currently LA Sparks. All while attending
University of Phoenix, getting a Bachelor of Science for Business Management
degree.
She was a Teacher’s Assistant and Intervention Coach (Math and Reading) for
grades K-5 with LAUSD for 5 years, and this will be her sixth year at St. Eugene
teaching 4th Grade. This is her third year heading the Dance Department for SEPAC
(St. Eugene’s Performing Arts Children). Still loving to learn she will continue her
education at LMU for Early Education Master’s and Credential Program.
